It was a pretty special night at The K for Angel Flight Central!
CEO Brendan Sneegas, was recently honored by the Kansas City Royals with the Buck O’Neil Legacy Seat, an honor that recognizes people who are making a difference in the Kansas City community.
The seat carries a special piece of Kansas City history. Buck O’Neil spent many days at Kauffman Stadium as a scout and a fan, and today, his seat, the only red seat in the ballpark, is reserved for individuals who carry on his spirit of kindness, compassion, and service to others.
For those of us at Angel Flight Central, it was especially meaningful to see Brendan sitting there.

Through his leadership at AFC, Brendan pushes forward our mission of getting people to the medical care they need. That work is made possible by our volunteer pilots, supporters, partners, and a community that continues to show up for our passengers.
Of course, Brendan would probably be the first to tell you that the work of Angel Flight Central belongs to a whole lot of people. But every once in a while, it’s nice to recognize the person leading the way.

Angel Flight Central is fortunate to serve passengers across 10 states, and we’re also grateful to be recognized here in Kansas City, where our headquarters are based. It was a special way to celebrate Brendan and the work he leads every day.
Congratulations, Brendan! We’re proud to have you representing Angel Flight Central, and we can’t think of a much better place to celebrate than The K. 💙⚾✈️
