Yes. Pilots must carry $1 million total liability insurance with at least $100,000 per seat, or an equivalent Non-Owned Aircraft Liability Policy if the aircraft owner’s policy does not sufficiently cover the pilot.

Yes. Volunteer pilots must be at least 21 years old. Pilots age 80 or older may still fly AFC missions but must have a qualified safety pilot under age 80 on board as a mission assistant.
