Volunteer Orientation & Training

The staff holds orientation sessions as needed for new and potential volunteers. Each Wing is also encouraged to hold an orientation meeting at least once a year with the support of staff and Board Trustees to broaden their base of active volunteers. Many support materials have been designed for and are available to new volunteers including:

• New Pilot Orientation Kit (handbook, I.D., materials, etc.)
• Wing Outreach Program Kit /Ambassador Kit
• Printed awareness materials
• DVD awareness materials
• Wing Handbook and support materials
• Donor Information Packet
• Marketing and Graphic Standards Manual
• Mission Screening and Coordination Team Guidebook
• Sample materials from prior events, meetings, projects, etc.
• We also hold regular Pilot Orientation and Open Forum Pilot conference calls each month.
